Enjoy 3D aerobatics close to home!
With the Sukhoi SU-31 ARF, the nearest field for 3D aerobatics may be as close as your own back yard. Built of ultra light materials, the Sukhoi SU-31 ARF requires less lift, so it can fly at speeds that would make other aircraft stall. And since it can fly at lower speeds, it needs less space to fly in, and that means more chances to fly close to home. Plus, less weight also means that servos and control surfaces have less mass to move and more power available for speed, strength and agility. And because it's an ARF, there's less "wait" between buying and flying, too. The Sukhoi SU-31 ARF can be flight-ready — and floating through its first flight — just a few hours after the box is opened.
- Perfect for intermediate pilots with big 3D ambitions, limited space and no time to build!
- Assembles fast — but flies at the speed of a slow walk.
- Maximizes low-speed lift with a 39.4" wingspan and extra light balsa/foam construction.
- Minimizes weight and work with a covered, all-balsa wing and painted foam parts for the control surfaces, tail group and profile fuselage.
- Features fuselage cutouts that speed and simplify motor system installation, plus the Sukhoi's trim scheme and scale outline for "sideshow" realism.
- Offers the agility of dual aileron servos with a 4-channel radio — and the added performance of flaperons with 5-channel use.
- Includes all basic hardware, plus wire gear and a tail skid.
Foam and balsa construction give the Sukhoi SU-31 an exceptional power-to-weight ratio. Add the recommended power system, and you can hover with confidence and climb straight up with authority.
| | Look at the Sukhoi SU-31's profile fuselage from the tail, and you see a convenience that saves hours of building time. See it from the side, however, and it's an appearance plus that offers the original's scale outline and trim scheme.

Like the dual aileron servos, the rudder and elevator servos are mounted close to the control surfaces they move, for easier access, shorter linkages and swift, powerful response.

Note: Some models require a 3-channel radio system, but a 4-channel will also work and it's beneficial because the modeler can use it in a wider range of applications with larger aircraft in the future. It depends on whether the modeler plans on using their radio for different uses other than just this airplane. Also please note that some radios come with receiver, crystal and/or servos.
