The lightweight, high-quality fiberglass fuselage includes an easy-access hatch for installing your 3-cell, 11.1V on-board battery. Its magnetically secured cover allows fast, easy flight pack changes.

G-44 Widgeon motor nacelles and spinner nuts

Already formed, trimmed and painted, the motor nacelles arrive nearly ready to install. ElectriFly also includes scale-shaped, machined aluminum spinner nuts — a crowning touch to the Widgeon’s sport-scale looks.

In addition to a water rudder, the fuselage hull features strakes and optimized step placement for smooth control and perfect planing. The Widgeon takes off with authority and handles easily when taxiing and landing.

Inside the fuselage, you’ll find plenty of room to install your on-board radio gear.

ElectriFly supplies everything you’ll need to be flight-ready fast, including a generous hardware package. The clear windows are factory-installed — increasing scale looks without adding assembly time.

Using twin outrunner brushless motor power, the G-44 Widgeon flies as well off of small ponds as it does larger lakes. It excels at basic aerobatics while expanding your flying site options.

ElectriFly RimFire motors mount easily with screws, and ElectriFly includes factory-made extension wires with bullet connectors for completing their installation.

The wing removes for taking your Widgeon to and from the lake or pond. Ailerons are factory-hinged for faster assembly. The outboard floats feature durable, lightweight aluminum struts.

The Grumman G-44 Widgeon prototype first flew in July 1940. It was intended to follow the Goose as a light civilian aircraft, but WWII interrupted those plans. Grumman delivered 176 G-44 Widgeons to the U.S. and British military. After the war, the plane was refined for improved water handling and six-person seating capacity. More than 266 were built. Most of those that still fly are privately owned.
